The Fox is a brand name used for a variety of radio stations in numerous broadcast markets in the United States, many of which are owned by Clear Channel Communications, though there are several that are not owned by Clear Channel. Clear Channel currently holds the trademark to the The Fox brand name based on individual markets. Most "The Fox" stations mainly play a Classic rock format and have varied logos, though many have a fox mascot. These stations are not directly associated in any way with Fox Sports Radio, Fox News Radio or Fox television network. Coincidentally, however, Clear Channel owns most "The Fox"-branded rock stations and many Fox Sports Radio stations (as well as the Fox Sports Radio network).
